01

Acceptance of terms

These terms apply when you use the bisibility website, hosted service, and related services. By creating an account, joining the hosted service, or using the service through an API key, you agree to these terms.

Use of the open-source code is governed by the AGPL-3.0 license. If these terms conflict with rights granted under AGPL-3.0 for the source code, the license controls for that code. Hosted-service access is separate from the open-source license.

02

The service

bisibility is open-source, self-hostable SEO observability for monitoring keyword positions, rank history, intended URLs, SEO signals, tags, schedules, alerts, exports, and API access. We may also offer a hosted version for teams that do not want to operate their own infrastructure.

bisibility ships without a bundled search-data source. You bring your own provider keys for supported providers such as DataForSEO, SerpApi, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4. Provider billing, provider account access, and provider terms are between you and the provider.

03

Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in methods and API keys secure, and be authorized to use bisibility for the organization or project you create. You are responsible for activity under your account and project API keys.

The service is intended for professional and organizational use. You may not use the hosted service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or if your use would require us to provide the service in a prohibited jurisdiction.

04

Acceptable use

Use bisibility responsibly and only for lawful rank tracking, reporting, and related SEO operations.

  • Do not attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, bypass rate limits, probe systems without permission, or use the service to distribute malware or harmful content.
  • Do not upload data you do not have the right to process, impersonate others, or use bisibility to violate provider terms, search-engine rules, privacy laws, or export-control laws.
  • Do not use hosted-service resources to run abusive automation, excessive provider calls, or workloads that materially degrade the service for others.
  • Do not publish, share, or expose API keys, provider credentials, OAuth tokens, migration tokens, or other secrets.
05

Your data and content

You keep ownership of the account, project, keyword, rank-history, provider-connection, export, and other content you submit to bisibility. For the hosted service, you grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, secure, and support that data for your use of the service.

For self-hosted deployments, you control the data in your own instance. You are responsible for your own backups, access controls, retention policies, and compliance obligations for that deployment.

06

Provider keys and third parties

Provider credentials you connect are stored encrypted and used only to test the connection, run checks, import analytics data, submit provider requests you trigger, or support related product features. bisibility does not sell your provider keys or use them to run checks for other customers.

Third-party providers are not controlled by bisibility. Their availability, pricing, rate limits, accuracy, data practices, and terms may change. You are responsible for keeping provider accounts active, paying provider invoices, and ensuring your use of those providers is permitted.

07

Self-hosting and the AGPL

bisibility's open-source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0. You may inspect, copy, modify, and self-host the code under that license, including the AGPL-3.0 obligation to provide source for modified network services where the license requires it.

The hosted service does not change your AGPL-3.0 rights in the code. It also does not grant hosted operations, support, or paid-service access unless those are included in your hosted-service plan or separate written agreement.

08

Fees and billing

Self-hosting the open-source product is free under AGPL-3.0, but you are responsible for your own infrastructure and provider costs. Hosted plans may be free, paid, usage-based, or trial-based as shown at signup, checkout, or in the product.

Hosted-service fees are billed through a payment processor. You authorize us and the payment processor to charge the selected payment method for fees, taxes, renewals, and usage you approve. BYO provider fees are billed directly by the provider, not by bisibility.

09

Disclaimers

bisibility is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free data, complete search-engine coverage, exact ranking accuracy, SEO outcomes, revenue growth, or compatibility with every provider account or deployment environment.

Search engines, SERP providers, analytics providers, browsers, hosting platforms, and open-source dependencies can change without notice. You are responsible for validating data before relying on it for business, legal, financial, or compliance decisions.

10

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, bisibility and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, loss of goodwill, provider charges, or business interruption.

For the hosted service, our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid to bisibility for the hosted service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so those limits apply only as far as the law permits.

11

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. You can export data through supported exports and the REST API, delete projects from the settings danger zone, revoke API keys, disconnect providers, or delete your account where the product provides that control.

We may suspend or terminate hosted-service access if you breach these terms, create security risk, fail to pay hosted-service fees, violate provider or legal requirements, or use the service in a way that harms other users or the service. Termination of hosted access does not terminate your AGPL-3.0 rights in the open-source code.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as bisibility changes or as legal, security, or operational needs change. When changes are material, we will update the date on this page and provide reasonable notice through the service or another appropriate channel.

If you continue using the hosted service after updated terms take effect, you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the hosted service and export or delete your data before the effective date where possible.
