Before you add keywords
Confirm that the project has:- the correct site domain and URL matching rules;
- the country, city, and device defaults you want to check;
- a connected SERP provider for running rank checks; and
- enough provider budget for the number of phrases, locations, devices, and scheduled checks.
Choose an input path
Search Console and ranked suggestions open a review picker. Select only the
queries you want to track. Suggestions already tracked with the same project
dimensions are marked or skipped.
Ranked suggestions use the project’s own DataForSEO credentials. bisibility
shows the provider estimate before the request and caches results for 12 hours.
Add keywords during onboarding
The Add your first keywords onboarding step accepts one phrase per line. It also exposes Search Console and ranked-suggestion imports when their integrations are available. The onboarding step applies the locations, devices, schedule, and SERP depth chosen earlier in the flow. Review the matrix summary before continuing: ten phrases across two locations and two devices create forty tracked keyword combinations. Select the add action when the summary matches what you intend to monitor. bisibility reports how many combinations were created and how many were already tracked.Add details from the Keywords page
For a short list, open Keywords, select the add action, and use manual entry. Paste one phrase per line, then set:- the location and device;
- the target URL, which is the page that should rank;
- tags that explain why you track the phrase; and
- the check schedule when it should differ from the project default.

Import CSV or XLSX
Create the project’s markets first, then select Import CSV. Choose the Market for rows without a location before uploading a file or pasting CSV. When you open import from a market, it is selected for you. With a selected market, onlykeyword is required:
country with the matching language, or an exact location_key.
The downloaded template uses the project’s existing markets. Location fields
in a row take precedence over the selected market.
Review shows each row’s resolved market and device, plus the row numbers and
reasons for validation failures. Unknown locations are rejected rather than
changed to country-level tracking. Imports never create missing markets or
move existing keywords between them. A paused market accepts keywords, but
its rank checks wait until the market is resumed.
Duplicate keyword, market, and device combinations are skipped. Fix excluded
rows or confirm the valid rows shown in Review; markets are checked again at
confirmation.
Run and review the first check
For the first run, open Overview or Keywords and select Run first check. To rerun one phrase later, open its keyword detail page and select Run check. After the check completes, verify:- the recorded position and ranking URL;
- whether the ranking URL matches the target URL;
- whether the selected market and device are correct; and
- whether the check consumed the expected provider budget.
Not found in the top 100 is a valid first result, not an integration failure.
Verify that the intended page is indexed and matches the query, then keep,
remap, or remove the phrase based on what you learn.

schedule setup, or use the Keywords API to automate larger
imports.
